Blogger Interview # 25 : Richelle Cervales

      

     1. Can you tell us a little about yourself and your blog?

My name is Richelle I'm from the Philippines. I work as a nurse in SG. When am not busy giving medications, writing my report, drawing the large intestines as to show where is the rectosigmoid located, serving Milo and biscuits, making discharge calls etc. etc. I enjoy making ref cakes, reading magazines, self portraits, blogging, shopping .

My blog no_more_stars is a melting pot of my thoughts. Most of the time I post thoughts and pictures of my family, cats, childhood memories, crushes, sometimes my job and many more. The name nomorestars is an anagram for astronomers. I was reading Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code and I looked up in Encarta dictionary on the anagrams meaning. One example is astronomers - nomorestars. Its sounds amazing so I still use it until now. 

But right now am building a new blog that tackles about nursing because this is what I do and I would love to help nurses esp. the Filipino nurses to understand or to be guided in our profession. As for the other randomness I have astronomed just to show a lighter side of me not being too nurse-y. 

        2. Are you a full time blogger? How did you get into blogging and why?

No. I came across blogging or formerly the online diaries of my friends. Its a platform of expression and also my own little way of practising my English writing skills (written skills are my weakest point in English. As to speaking English is the strongest.)

3.   If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest?

If blogging for fun/pleasure - just do with what you have in mind. 

If blogging for business - To find your niche, write things about what you do best. Because if you're an expert of something this would attract google searches and traffics.(This I learned the hard way)

Generally, be responsible and respect other people's opinion.

  

4. How do you build a community around a blog and social media?

I haven't done some community building in blogs yet. That I have to try.

5. What are your three favorite blogs to read? What makes those blogs special?

ourawesomeplanet.com - showcases the wonders of the Philippines

6.  Which one plugin would you suggest all bloggers to have? 

Ok I know I've been blogging for more a long time...I've heard of the plugin but what the hell is it?
