Can you tell us a little about yourself and your blog?

I am Neha, an IT Engineer by qualification, Online Marketing Professional by chance and a blogger by choice. J

I work for an ecommerce company in India. In my free-time I like to write for my blog and interact with wonderful people in the blogosphere. I never want to miss a chance of getting in touch with creative souls like writers, bloggers, photographers.

My blog http://inlove-withmylife.blogspot.in/ is an outcome of my lonely days around 3 years back. When I came to NCR Region for my first job and had no friends.

I have never been a writer and thus I am too bad at fiction. Even if I try it on my blog, I don’t find it interesting. So whatever my blog says is inspired from my real life incidents or from my near-dear ones.

Are you a full time blogger? How did you get into blogging and why?

Well, I am not a full time blogger. I write occasionally, usually when I want to spend time with myself.

It was around three years back when I came to NOIDA for my job in Online Marketing. At that time, I used to create blogs and microsites for our International clients as a part of my job.

So I got fascinated with the idea. And my lonely days in the hostel especially on weekends pushed me more towards writing & blogging.

If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest?

Since I am in online marketing, I know how good it is if you’ve a blog. So I have following things to say to my fellow bloggers:

1) Choose a theme / niche for your blog. It can be anything starting from beauty products to electronics, or even personal, whatsoever interests you.

2) Its good to be associated with companies. Participate more and more in the events and contest to increase the visibility

3) Make relationships with the fellow bloggers as well as with the brands.

4) If you are really serious about blogging, it’s better to purchase a domain name and hosting of your own. Put efforts to develop your brain child.

Recently I purchased http://www.unrestrictedminds.in/ and I keep on experimenting with it. It really feels good to have a domain of my own.

5) Learn some basic SEO tactics. SEO is not a rocket science. You can get the basics of it within few days of online research. Little efforts and free organic traffic!

It is really exciting to see your blog growing.

How do you build a community around a blog and social media?

Well, I am myself into SEO, social media and other online promotions but trust me the maximum I am able to do is to share my new post on my personal Facebook account. This is due to the reason that I get bored of doing marketing and PR activities for my clients and organization. So I hardly get time to do the same activities for my own blog. L

What are your three favorite blogs to read? What makes those blogs special?

I read and follow lots of blogs. I find everyone in the blogosphere is truly creative and his/her blog reflects a completely new and fresh outlook towards life and society.

So taking three names would not be justified.

Which one plugin would you suggest all bloggers to have?

I think for wordpress bloggers, All-In-One-SEO Pack is a great plugin. Besides this one, social media plugins is a must.
