Can you tell us a little about yourself and your blog?

I am a 44 years old woman from the Netherlands and I live together with my two boys, 18 and 15 and my second husband (even though we're not married, it feels like it ;-) ) and my dog.
I love to write. Most of my writing is about 'self-exploring', mindfulness, personal growth. But I also love to write short stories (all of them are with an open ending by the way) and I try to write some poetry. Or ryhmes. I wouldn't compare myself to a 'real' poet. I scribble my thoughts on my blog, that's it really. And I make quotes. Or I make picture/quotes. And put them on my blog. I have two blogs, one for my thoughts,

Are you a full time blogger? How did you get into blogging and why?

What's the definition of a full time blogger? That you blog every day? Than yes I'm a full time blogger. I work partime with elderly people so I have time during the day to blog. I feel I have to. If I don't write my head will explode! ;-)
I started blogging through a friend on an other blog site. She convinced me to start blogging/writing. She doesn't blog anymore, I felt a need to blog everyday. I write short stories since I was about 12 years old, so when I started to write again after a long time, it felt like I missed out on something for that long period of time!

If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest?

I always share my posts on Facebook and Twitter. That is a good place to start. I don't have a lot of readers but I think that is because blogging is all about visiting other blogs and commenting on other blogs. That takes up a lot of your time, and I don't always have that. Not only that, I have an injury on my shoulder so I must limit my time at the computer.

How do you build a community around a blog and social media?

I have a lot of online friends. Most of them I 'met' via a forum. I even met my partner online on a forum and he and I are living together for 5 years now. The community I have around blogs is still small. Social media like Facebook is currently more for the friends I know 'in real life' oddly enough. Or I have to know them a bit better.

What are your three favorite blogs to read? What makes those blogs special?

Because I love her photos! And often nice text (in Dutch) to think about to go with it. It's like she takes you with her on her walks.
okay, it's French, I have trouble with that, Have to use Google translate for this one, but the pictures are stunning!

Which one plugin would you suggest all bloggers to have?

Well, when I see what's under your blog I understand why you ask that question! Maybe it's because I have the Dutch version of Blogspot? But I can't get all the plugins I want on my blog. The pinterest button, and that's it. Not even the people who follow my blog! I get an error when I try that! But I like pinterest a lot. And stumbleuppon!
Note: I have found that bloggers all around the world are so very nice on each others blogs! They compliment each other or fill in the blanks. Never an angry word! Only one person who thought she knew me (not even in real life) thought she could use strong language, but that was an exception. Love that about blogging too!
